GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL NATIONS (GCC NATIONS)

Intro-

    
The GCC is an intergovernmental organisation or union of  6 Arab  States ( Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman ) .It was founded in 25th May ,1981 in Abu Dhabi , UAE (United Arab Emirates). The main objective of this alliance to bring unity as well as security in the Arab States.




GCC NATIONS

Body-

All the GCC states share their border with Persian Gulf .Iraq is not the part of this union due to some political and economical disputes or controversy with the GCC nations.The headquarter of this union is present in RIYADH , Saudi Arabia. All these Arab states are rich in the oil industries.The maximum production and exportation of the oil and the natural gas is done in these middle-east states.Although, Iran is not part of the Gulf Cooperation.
If we talk about the Councils of GCC , then the main decision-making council is SUPREME COUNCIL . It has two main co-ordinations-  1)the Security co-ordination & 2) the Economic co-ordination.
In  Security co-ordination one policy was created in 1984 and the name was "PENINSULA SHIELD FORCE ".
We also have Military cooperation council ,which allows the co-ordination between the military cooperation among the GCC States.
The presidency rotates between each members state annually.

Implication-

So, the main objective is to bring unity among these Arab Nations based on their common objectives as well as having same political and cultural identities.Also to work together against the terrorism with cooperation among their military troops.
