India-China Bilateral relations

The relations among India-Sino is the relations between REPUBLIC OF INDIA and PEOPLE's REPUBLIC OF CHINA . Both the nations established their diplomatic relations right after 1980s . These nations competing each other in terms of economy and population. India was the first non-communist nation in Asia who established diplomatic ties with China in 1950.

Major conflicts-

The contemporary China and India had fought major conflicts with each other in regard of  border disputes ,which include:-
  • 1962  Indo-Sino war
  • 1967 Cho -La incident
  • 1987 India-China Skirmish
However, since the 1980s era ,both the nations have successfully rebuilt diplomatic and economic ties. The SILK ROAD serve as a major trade route between India and China and besides that it also assist to spread the Budhhism community in the East part of the Asia  i.e. Verma, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia etc. In 2008 China became the major trading partner of India and had done more with it.Bilateral trade between both the nations touched  US $89.6 billion in 2017-18.  In early 2017, Doklam plateau was one of the clash between India and China.

Current Relations :-
  • Recently, China bought 1% stake in HDFC limited which was the FOREIGN PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT (FPI). And due to this India has to change his FDI and FPI policies to protect the domestic company firms.
  • On 5th May 2020,India and Chinese troops engaged each other at Pangong Tsu in Ladakh. Pangong Tsu is a 135 km long ,located in Ladakh and stretched out towards China(Akshi Chin).
  • On 20th May 2020, both the nation armies again collapsed with each other near Naku La pass in North Sikkim.
  • The India-China border dispute covers the 3,488 km long LAC(Line of Actual Control), with China claiming the Indian state of Arunachal  Pradesh.

Then only India can become stronger and powerful then China.
